let’s give prevention a chance
Many of you know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. ?áBreast Cancer Action Montreal has come up with a fun way to raise awareness that goes beyond pink consumerism.
Tomorrow BCAM is headed to the famous room 1742 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel?áin Montreal where the late John Lennon and Yoko Ono staged a bed-in some 42 years ago. ?áAs BCAM occupies the famous suite, they will kick off a petition. They hope to collect a great number of signatures which will help to lobby for mandatory labelling of known and suspected carcinogens found in cleaning products and cosmetics.
Be sure to visit the?áBCAM?áwebsite. ?áThe petition will be posted on the website tomorrow, October 6th.
Related articles?áfrom The?áMontreal Gazette, CTV local news, and The Ottawa Citizen?ágo into more depth on this subject.
And! ?áA big thanks to our good friend, Deborah Ostrovsky, for her continued guidance on what’s happening! ?áCheck out Deborah’s recent contribution to BCAM, an article written in memory of Rachel Carson.

Yesterday I was listening to a Teleseminar with Susun Weed and Aviva Romm. Susun mentioned that we should change our focus from October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to National Breast Health Awareness Month. I strongly agree in that there is just as much needed in raising awareness for maintaining health and vitality as there is in battling cancer.
Hi, I found this interesting article about Aviva Romm–you guys have talked about her recently and I find her story inspiring!
Here’s the article:

Thanks, Deborah! I really enjoyed reading her story and perspective on things. She lead an equally inspiring full day intensive at the AHG Symposium this year. Take Care! 😉
