Pink Ribbon chocolate lollipops for Breast Can...

BCAM is going beyond the saccharin cheer

Many of you know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Breast Cancer Action Montreal has come up with a fun way to raise awareness that goes beyond pink consumerism.

Tomorrow BCAM is headed to the famous room 1742 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal where the late John Lennon and Yoko Ono staged a bed-in some 42 years ago.  As BCAM occupies the famous suite, they will kick off a petition. They hope to collect a great number of signatures which will help to lobby for mandatory labelling of known and suspected carcinogens found in cleaning products and cosmetics.

Be sure to visit the BCAM website.  The petition will be posted on the website tomorrow, October 6th.

And!  A big thanks to our good friend, Deborah Ostrovsky, for her continued guidance on what’s happening!  Check out Deborah’s recent contribution to BCAM, an article written in memory of Rachel Carson.
